Here are some of the people who make up our fine think-tank:

Nornoriel Vanyahildë

Picture
Nornoriel Vanyahildë is an eclectic polytheistic Druid oathed to Ing-Frey, and the founder of Vanaheim Fellowship.  An Enneagram Type Eight and INTJ, and an Aquarius with Scorpio rising, she has interest in the history of the Vanir cult and how to revive Vanic traditions for the modern day, and is particularly interested in the practice of seiðr and correcting misconceptions about this craft.  She's published five books (under the pen name Svartesól), and is on indefinite hiatus from book-writing to focus on art.  Originally from New England, Noni moved to southern California in 2006, where she lives with her partner Macilisyar and their cat.  She enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with animals.

Macilisyar Vanyahildo

Macilisyar Vanyahildo has been an Anglo-Saxon Pagan since the late 1990s.  He feels kinship with Frey and Wuldor, and is interested in elf lore and exploring the Faery Faith of the British Isles.  Formerly a member of Thæt Angelseaxisce Ealdriht, he is now practicing revival Druidry, and runs a study group for European martial arts in Orange County, California.

Nicanthiel Hrafnhild

Picture
Nicanthiel Hrafnhild has been dealing with the Vanic gods for several years, in both a Celtic and Germanic context. Priest and devotee of Nerthus-Hertha, the holy Earth Mother, he is a runester, mystic, witch and amateur theologian dedicated to renewing and reviving the mysteries of the Vanir for the modern age and the post-industrial/fossil-fueled future.

He has been involved in the Geferræden Fyrnsidu, Ar nDraíocht Féin, the Ekklesia Antinoou, and the Celtic Reconstructionist movement in the past, but has started down his own path exploring the deep and dark currents that underlie the various Vanir cultus.

Nyx Gullveig

Picture
Nyx Gullveig is a writer, film editor and artist who lives in Southern California with her boyfriend familiar of ten years.   She realized at an early age, that the Old Gods called her, even if it was through mythology classes in Catholic school during her upbringing in the Midwest.   Through a journey that included Thelema, a Strega-based coven and her own Asatru group, Nyx found Vanatru, a system that seemed to support her own UPG as well as not conflict with her prior religious background.

Nyx has taught classes in the Southern California area on Planetary and Candle Magick, as well as lecturing at spiritual festivals in the area.  She is currently writing a book about her first year of experiences as a Vanatru, using her 20 plus years of experience as a follower of what she would call "The Old Ways" to mold an unique mix of Roman Reconstructionism with her UPG of what Vanatru means to her. She also has travelled to the places in Europe where her ancestors were from, mainly Italy, Britain and Germany and feels it is important to trace religion back to its roots and learn from the Old Lands, for in that searching of the past, we know our future.

Seillean

Picture
Rick (also known as Seillean online) primarily considers himself to be a Traditional Witch and Eclectic Sorcerer. His practice is balanced between devotional worship, spirit work, and witchcraft all conducted from within the context of a traditional pagan worldview. His magical practice takes the form of European folk magic mixed with Southern Hoodoo and Western ceremonial magic. Sacred to him is the land, the Gods, his ancestors, and the land spirits. When he wishes to be civilized and respectable he dons the robes of a Revival Druid and is a druid apprentice with the AODA and an ovate with OBOD.

Rick was happily Vanatru for many years until a chance encounter with the Goddess Hekate who claimed him in 2009. She then led him to Herne and Dionysos, and he now holds patron oaths to all three of them. He still maintains friendly connections to the Vanir, particularly Frey and Wuldor, connections which are maintained through his bond to Herne. In the mundane world, he currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin where he happily juggles a life of being a husband, father, working professional in clinical research, and a devout practitioner of and adherent to The Old Ways.

Hélio

Picture
Hélio is a Portuguese polytheist currently residing in Lisbon. He's a Roman reconstructionist by cultural tradition and a Vanatruar by personal devotion, namely to Freyr, whom he holds as his patron; Freya and Njord also rank high in his Vanic worship. A medieval historian in training, he believes personal inspiration, UPG and a solid practical sense must be as important as academic research if pre-Christian religions are to become living traditions once more. And laughter, too: humor can be such a life-giver!
